With loving-kindness and compassion, Buddhamahametta UK set out to help relieve those who are in an unfortunate event. We strive to give support to the victims of the disasters by giving aid money, basic need items as well as warming their heart for them to be able to get through this tragic situation. Apart from proving an immediate help, we would like to give them mental support for them to carry on their lives.

Below is the story of one family who lost their entire house due to the fire. We are so grateful to be able to help them getting through this tragic situation.

On July 23, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. there was a fire at house number 80/1 Moo.4 Baanpongfang, Amphur Klangdong, Toongsalium District, Sukhothai province. The residents who reside in the house are;

1. Mr. Prateep Klaikijrat

2. Ms. Kijnarin Klaikijrat

3. Pakorn Klaikijrat, age 14

4. Panupong Klaikijrat, age 10, fourth grade student

5. Kasin Klaikijrat, age 4, kindergarten

At that time nobody was at home to stop the fire. With their current financial situation, it would be impossible for them to rebuild a house immediately. The situation had made Mr. Prateep and Ms. Kijnarin in distress as they needed to find a new shelter as well as to look after their 3 children.

Ms. Ann (Thung Saliam) who is a volunteer of Buddhamahametta Foundation became to know about Klaikijrat family’s circumstance. With kindness of Venerable Kittiched, volunteers and donators, on August 2nd, 2019, the foundation made a donation of 63,056 Baht and giving basic need items for them to be able to start re-building their new home.

Additionally, on August 4th, Venerable Kittiched including Ms. Ann and Baan Imm Boon group donated another 23,140 Baht to help Klaikijrat family. We feel grateful to see their worry go away and the smiles on the kids’ faces.
